A Blue Dove for the Princess

Once upon a time

A dove lived in the castle of a country where peace and green spread across the land. The dove live there since the princess took him from the bed of leave, where she found him injured and death never seemed so near. The princess was the one who  saved him. She took him and put him into a small cage. Despite living inside the cage, he was far from danger, and the scenery was good. Recovering from his injury, now he can jump inside the cage.

One day, many nobleman gather around her,the princess seems fell sick and no one know why. Just when the country recovering from war, this happened. “It’s the demon of Razgriz!” one of the nobleman said. “When history witness a great change, Razgriz reveal itself. First as a demon. As a demon he brings death upon the land, and then it dies. After a period of slumber, Razgriz return, this time as a hero. “Only the demon of Razgriz can do this”

The dove remember a story of a magic fruit from his mother, a magic fruit that can heal any kind of disease. When the maid feed him in the morning, he flew to the mountain to find the fruit. In the  mountain he found a big tree with a golden fruit. “It’s the magic fruit” he thought. The dove took the fruit and fly back to the castle as fast as possible. He flew through the storm and made it back to the castle. He landed on the window just to find the princess has passed away. He lay down beside the princess, exhausted.

The morning, after the maid enter the room and surprised “oh my, it’s her little dove! How can he fly? He can’t even flap his wing” said the maid. The dove still hold the fruit in his beak, even after he passed away. The maid plant the fruit  just under the princess room’s window. The tree grew big with a lot of branches. It is said that from the top of the tree, the princess room and the dove cage can be clearly seen.

A Monkey and Twin Turtles

Tiara Ristyana - A Monkey and Twin Turtles

In the middle of the jungle, there were a group of animals such as monkey, goat, dog, rabbit, and twin turtles. They were talking about their stories to each other, while they ate many kinds of fruits that twin turtles brought. After they talked about their stories, they went home but twin turtles whose name are (Boy and Bey) and monkey were still there. Monkey approached the turtle Boy and he said “Boy, there is a party in Cherry Village. I want you to come with me. You want it?” “Yes of course I want it Monkey” said Turtle Boy. “But I only invite you to come to the party, I don’t invite your brother and I want you to bring a lot of fruits for our stock if we get hungry” “Hmm okay, I agree I will not tell my brother.”Arrived home, Turtle Bey slept and Turtle Boy packed the fruits for their journey. Suddenly, Turtle Bey woke up and asked his brother for what he packed a lot of fruits. At first, Turtle Boy did not want to admit it but finally he said the truth that there was a party and Monkey didn’t invite you to come together with us and turtle Bey allowed his brother to go.

Turtle Boy and Monkey went to the party. In the middle their way, Monkey tired and asked Turtle Boy to take a rest under the tree. “Uh I’m so tired Boy, do you feel the same?” “Yea, me too” said Turtle. “Let’s open your bag, I want to eat banana!!” said Monkey with an excited feeling. “No, don’t! This is for our stock. We are still far from the Cherry Village, so it’s better for us to keep it first.” Turtle Boy little bit mad with Monkey. “Okay.” said Monkey. After that, they continued their way. Monkey thought that he must think about how he could get the fruits.

Finally, he got an idea. He will arrange the strategy. He left the turtle Boy and he made a trap there. He made a hole which covered by the leaves in order to make Turtle Boy fell down into the hole but there was someone who knew his strategy. Monkey came back to the Turtle Boy.When they passed the road and Turtle Boy stepped on the hole, apparently he didn’t fall into the hole. “How can he did not fell into the hole?” he said that in his heart with the high tone. Then Monkey confused why he did not fall into the hole. And then, he forgot about that thing and he rearranged the strategy “I have to make him fall into my second trap no matter what!” He swings on the rope with the hope that he could get the fruits from the Turtle’s bag. Then again, someone looked what Monkey did. He rushed to shift the tree, so when the Monkey swinging, he will hit the tree.

The strategy was successful, Monkey hit the tree and he failed to steel the fruits from the Turtle’s bag. After they passed a long way, they arrived to Cherry Village. In there, they were separated. Turtle Boy was put into the cage by someone. Then Monkey came to acquitted Turtle Boy out from the cage but with one requirement “I will acquitted you out from the cage and you can meet your brother but you have to give me all your fruits. How’s that?” asked Monkey, “Okay I agree” said Turtle “Thank you Turtle. You are a good friend”. They already had changed the position and Turtle left the Monkey to meet his brother. Actually, this cage was a tool for the animal that will be cooked after party was over. While Monkey was in the cage, Turtle went home to meet and tell everything to his brother. His brother said that actually someone who helped him when Monkey wanted to trap him. “I was there when Monkey wanted to trap you. He wanted the fruits.” Turtle Bey explained it explicitly. “I didn’t think that he was a friend who crafty and greedy. He was a friend who has thousand ideas to get anything that he wants.” said Turtle Boy clearly.

The Rabbit and the Turtle

Once upon a time, there were a rabbit and a turtle living in the same woods. One day, the Rabbit was boasting to every animal in the woods about how fast he could run. “I’m the fastest animal in this wood! No one else can run faster than me! I, Rabbit, can run even faster than the tiger!” the Rabbit said.

 “Look at you! Poor Turtle, the slowest animal ever exist in this wood. No matter how fast you run, you still can’t beat me, right?” He was laughing and mocking at the Turtle for being so slow.

Felt annoyed, the turtle challenged him to a race on the next day. “Oh, really you’re the fastest animal? We’ll see on the race tomorrow. Only you and me, Rabbit.” The rabbit thought this was a good joke and accepted the challenge. “Ha! You challenged me? Fine! I bet you’ll cry for losing, Turtle. Hahahahaha!” the Rabbit was so confident he would win the race.

 The day of the race came. Everyone gathered to see the race. “On the count of three! One… Two… Three…!” the Hedgehog blew a whistle, as he was the jury for the race.

As the race began, the rabbit was speeding way ahead of the turtle. Every animal was shouting to the Turtle, gave him motivation to keep going.

The rabbit got to the halfway point and could not see the turtle anywhere. The Rabbit felt hot and tired. Then he decided to stop and take a short nap. “Hah.. Hah.. Hah.. I must be far away ahead the Turtle. I’ve told him he can’t win this race. Hahaha! I better sleep for awhile and catch up later.” The Rabbit said.

Far away left behind, the turtle kept walking slowly. He never quit no matter how hot or tired he got. He just kept going. He did not give up. “Hosh.. hosh.. hosh.. it’s so hot and tiring. But I can’t just give up. It’s already half way the finish line. I must finish this race!” said the Turtle.

Hours passed, the rabbit slept longer than he had thought and woke up. “Hoaaaaaaam.. I sleep like a baby. What time is it? Where is the Turtle?” He could not see the turtle anywhere. Panicked, he went at full-speed to the finish line only to find the turtle standing there waiting for him. “I win this race! Look who’s crying for losing now, Rabbit?” said the Turtle.

The rabbit felt angry, but ashamed at the same time. Then, he apologized to the turtle for mocking him. “I’m sorry for mocking you last day. I promise I won’t do that again.” Said the Rabbit.

The Responsible Goldilocks and the Kind Hearted Three Bears

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She went for a walk in the forest. Pretty soon, she came upon a house. She knocked and, when no one answered, she walked right in.

At the table in the kitchen, there were three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks was hungry. She tasted the porridge from the first bowl.

"This porridge is bitter!" she exclaimed.

So, she tasted the porridge from the second bowl.

"This porridge is too spicy," she said

So, she tasted the last bowl of porridge.

"Ah, this porridge is just right, but I need two more porridges" she said happily and she ate it too. When she was going to eat the porridge from first bowl and second bowl, she thought that the porridge was too bitter, and the one is too spicy, so she sought for some salt and water in the kitchen. It was hard for her to search it, so she made the kitchen untidy until she found the salt for the first bowl and water for the second bowl of porridge.

After she'd eaten all it up the three bears' breakfasts, she was really full. She was feeling a little tired and walked into the living room where she saw three chairs. Goldilocks sat in the first chair to rest her feet. 

"This chair is really old-fashioned!" she exclaimed.

So she sat in the second chair.

"Now this chair is too girly, it’s boring..." she whined.

So she tried the last and smallest chair.

"Ah, the style of this chair is just right, but it doesn’t fit my hip. I think I need some touch" she sighed. But just as she settled down into the chair to rest, it broke into pieces!

Goldilocks was very tired by this time, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She lay down in the first bed, but it was really smelly. Then she lay in the second bed, but it was too aromatic and it bothered her nose. Then she lay down in the third bed and it was just right. Goldilocks fell asleep.

As she was sleeping, the three bears came home.

"Someone's been eating my porridge," growled the Papa bear.

"Someone's been eating my porridge," said the Mama bear.

"Someone's been eating my porridge and they ate it all up!" cried the Baby bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair," growled the Papa bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair," said the Mama bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair and they've broken it all to pieces," cried the Baby bear.

They decided to look around some more and when they got upstairs to the bedroom, Papa bear growled, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed,"

"Someone's been sleeping in my bed, too" said the Mama bear

"Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still there!" exclaimed Baby bear.

Just then, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears.  She screamed, "Forgive me" And she approached them into their knees begged for pardon. The three bears forgave her with some deals.

“I’ll forgive you if you fix all the mistakes that you’ve done. I want you to make us the porridge with the same taste like before for each of us,” growled the Papa bear.

“I want you fix my little chair!” shouted the baby bear.

“And, I want you to clean our beds and make it to the same condition like before,” said the Mama bear.

Then the Goldilocks do their wishes and the three bears felt happy yet touched. While the Goldilocks was busy doing the task, Mama Bear made once more porridge for her, Papa bear made a new chair and bed for her too, and the Baby bear kept watching her do the task.

After she finished her tasks, they welcomed the Goldilocks to eat together with her own porridge, after that sit together and watching TV in the living room with her own chair, and sleep together in one room with her own bed. Goldilocks was very happy and thanked them. The three bears asked her for coming back to their house anytime she wants.

And when she returned home, she had a thought that one day she will come to their house again.

The Tortoise, the Hare, and the Magic Lake

In a hot summer day, groups of animal gathered in the middle of forest while eats their lunch. “I have never been beaten yet,” said a Hare opened a conversation. “I challenge any one here to race with me,” he continued with a high confidence. 

The tortoise replied quietly, “I accept your challenge”.

“This is a great joke,” said the Hare, “I could dance round you all the way.”

So the race was started. Other animals cheered so loudly for the Tortoise and the Hare. The Tortoise walked really slowly, while the Hare moved as fast as a flash. Near the finish line, there was a magic ice cream cookies lake…

“Ah, the Tortoise will take forever to reach me,” then he decided to stop and enjoyed it until his belly satisfied. Then, he fell asleep.

After walking and walking, the Tortoise saw the Hare was sleeping and the delicious ice cream cookies lake. Feeling thirsty and exhausted, the Tortoise tested it. Then, he fell asleep.

An hour later, other animals in the finish line was wondering why the Tortoise and the Hare have not arrived. Until they remember about the magic lake…

The lake was cursed by the elders of the forest. The more they eat, the longer they sleep. Nobody could wake them up and they decided to go home.

The next an hour, the Tortoise and the Hare woke up and realized the effect of eating from the magic lake.

“I’m sorry for underestimating you. I should not have done it,” said the Hare.

Finally, they decided to not continue the race and became a friend. There was no other animal wanted to taste the ice cream cookies lake ever.

I Couldn't Fulfill Your Wishes

I couldn’t fulfill your wishes

When i was a child, i like to smile at my father. I wonder he will stare at me, but he didn’t.
I love saying “i love you” to my father, waiting him to say something. I wonder if my father heard me, but he didn’t.
I asked him to play football at the bakyard; I wonder if my father would follow me out.
I draw and hoped my father would see it, but he didn’t.
I grow up to be a cheery kid.
I made a camping place at the backyard. I wonder if my father would join just for one night, but he didn’t.
I’m looking for worms for fish-bait. I wonder if my father would go with me, but he didn’t.
I was 15.
I asked my father to sharing. I wonder if my father would share too, but he didn’t.
I gave him a championship schedule that i played, wondering if my father would come. I thought my father would come, but he didn’t.
I want to share my childhood with my father. I wonder if my father wants it too, but he didn’t.
Then, when i was 20, state assignment called me; i must go to the battlefield. My father asked me to come home safely.
But...
I couldn’t fulfill his wishes.

The Rabbit and the Turtle

        One day, animal lived side by side peacefully but there was one animal that’s known for his arrogance, a rabbit. He always bragged about how he could run as fast as the wind and mocked at the turtle for being so slow.

         "Hah! You're so slow turtle. Can't you even walk fast?", said the rabbit.

         "Of course. I bet I can beat you in a race!" replied the turtle.

        Much to the rabbit’s surprise, the turtle finally challenged him to a race. The rabbit thought this was a good thing for his pride. The fox was to be the line judge of the race. As the race began, the rabbit raced way ahead of the turtle, as predicted.

         The rabbit got to the halfway point and could not see the turtle anywhere. He was tired and fell at a deep hole. The rabbit screamed for anybody’s help...

             "Help! Please help me get out from here! Anybody!" screamed the rabbit.

            ......yet there was no animal at all. All this time, the turtle kept walking step by step by step. He never quit no matter how hot the sun or tired he got. He just kept going and going.

         However, the turtle heard the rabbit’s scream as he passed a grass. The rabbit was scared and desperate to get out until he promised not to be bad anymore.

          "Who is that?", said the turtle.

       "It's me. It's rabbit. Please... Help me get out from here. I promise I'll be good to you who ever you're, to anyone.", answered the rabbit.

           Seeing his friend trapped in an unfortunate situation, the turtle saw a big strong root and threw it to the hole. The rabbit catch the root and climbed his way up. Much to his surprise, rabbit didn’t know that it was the turtle that had helped him. The rabbit thanked the turtle so much. At last, the rabbit carried the turtle in his back and reached the finish line together.

The Monkey and The Crocodile

On one evening, a clever monkey was jumping from one branch to another on his tree that bore juicy, red rose apples. He was very happy. Suddenly, a crocodile swam up to that tree and told the monkey that he had traveled a long distance and was in search of food as he was very hungry. The kind monkey offered him a few rose apples. The crocodile enjoyed the fruit very much and asked the monkey for some more fruit. The generous monkey agreed.

The crocodile returned to the monkey for several days. As the time goes by, they became very good friends. They discussed anything that they have passed. Their lives, their friends and family. The crocodile told the monkey that he had a wife and they lived on the other side of the river. So the kind monkey offered him some extra rose apples to take home to his wife. The crocodile’s wife loved the rose apples, then her husband will bring her that apples every day.

Meanwhile, the friendship between the monkey and the crocodile become stronger as they spent more and more time together. The crocodile’s wife started getting jealous with the monkey. Her husband tried to convince her that he and the monkey shared a true friendship. But then the crocodile’s wife comes up with and idea and said, “if the monkey lived on a diet of rose monkeys, his flesh would be very sweet.” So she asked the crocodile to invite the monkey to their house.

The crocodile was not happy about her idea.

“It would be difficult to get the monkey across the river, honey.” Said the crocodile.

But his wife wanted to eat the monkey’s flesh. So she thought of a plan. One day, she pretended to be very ill and told the crocodile that the doctor said that she would only recover if she ate a monkey’s heart. If her husband wanted to save her life, he must bring her his friend’s heart.

The crocodile was in a dilemma. On the one hand, he loved his friend. On the other, he could not possibly let his wife die.

Then the crocodile went to the rose apple tree and tried to invite the monkey to come home to meet his wife. He told the monkey that he could ride across the river on the crocodile’s back. Then the monkey agreed. As they reached the middle of the river, the crocodile began to sink. The frightened monkey asked the crocodile “why did you do that?” .

“I would have to kill you, buddy. I want to save my wife’s life. The doctor said that she have to eat Monkey’s heart.” Said crocodile.

The clever monkey told him that he would give up his heart to save the the crocodile’s wife life, but he had left his heart behind in the rose apple tree. He asked the crocodile to turn back so that the monkey could go get his heart from the apple tree.

The silly crocodile quickly swam back to the rose apple tree. The monkey jumped up the tree to a safe place.

“Tell your wife, she had married the biggest fool in the world.” Said Monkey.

The Fox and The Goat

Once upon a time, there was a fox wandering in the dark. The fox was very thirsty after wandering the whole day, then he found a well not far from where he stood. When the fox was about to drink the water, unfortunately he slipped and then fell into the well because the water was shallow. He tried his best to come out but all in vain. So, he had no other choice but staying there until the next morning.

On the next day, a goat came to that way and passed through the well. The goat felt that she saw something inside the well. She peeped into the well and saw the fox there.

The goat asked “What are you doing there, Mr. Fox?”

The wicked fox replied “I came here to drink water”.

The goat asked, “Is it fresh?”

“Yes, it is. It is the best i have ever tasted. Come and see yourself” Said the fox. 

The fox used the goat to get out from the well.

Without thinking for a while, the goat jumped into the well and the fox immediately jumped on the goat’s back and with another jump he was out of well. The fox got out from the well successfully and he was laughing while saying to the goat “If you were clever enough, you would never have got in without knowing how to get out.” The goat finally realized that she was fooled by the fox. Whereas the fox didn’t know that there was a lion near the well that was ready to devour him.

The Crocodile and the Shark

The Crocodile and the Shark

            Once upon a time, in the river estuary lived a crocodile and a shark. They were not good with each other, and not a single day passed without them fighting for food. Their battle was so intense, and no animals could even stop them. Both were equally strong, and vicious. One day, both of them were too bored to fight, because each time they fought the outcome always draw. Then the crocodile told shark about his idea to prevent them from fighting again.

“Hey shark, let’s make a deal. How about we divide our territory into two? Yours is the sea, and you can only hunt on the sea. While my territory is the river, and I can only hunt on the river.”

“Hmmm, sounds good to me. Deal.” said the shark with smirk.

            Day by day and not a single battle occurred on the estuary, both shark and crocodile had agreed to respect each other’s territory. Until one day, the shark began hunting on the river surreptitiously. He did this so that the crocodile won’t know his doings. At first his act went smoothly, but one day the crocodile caught the shark chasing a fish. The crocodile was furious to see the shark broke his promise. The shark who didn’t feel any guilt said,

            “I broke the deal? Look, it was not my fault that the fish that I chased a few minutes ago suddenly enter your river. The fish was a sea fish, so it’s only right that the fish belongs to me!”

            “What? But river is my territory, so that means that fish belongs to me!” replied the crocodile angrily.

            “No! Everything that comes from the sea belongs to me!” said the shark did not want to lose.

            “You….you looking for troubles aren’t you? Let’s settle this now!”

            Because not one of them wanted to lose, the battle between them happened again. But this time, the battle was more intense than before. They tackled, and bit each other ferociously. Suddenly the water turned red with blood from the wound of these two powerful beasts. They continued to fight tooth and nail without a break. In the end the crocodile launched a fatal blow near the shark’s tail, and then the shark swam back to the sea fatally wounded. The crocodile were satisfied to be able to defend his territory.

            Nowadays, sometimes we can see crocodiles on the sea and sharks on the river, as a result of the shark broke his promise.

A Fox and A Goat

Once a fox was roaming around in the dark. Unfortunately, he fell into a well. He tried his level best to come out but all in vain. So, he had no other alternative but to remain there till the next morning. The next day, a goat came that way. She peeped into the well and saw the fox there. The goat asked “what are you doing there, Mr. Fox?”

The sly fox replied, “I came here to drink water. It is the best I have ever tasted. Come and see for yourself.” Without thinking even for a while, the goat jumped into the well, quenched her thirst and looked for a way to get out. But just like the fox, she also found herself helpless to come out.

Then the fox said, “I have an idea. You stand on your hind legs. I’ll climb on your head and get out. Then I shall help you come out too.” The goat was innocent enough to understand the shrewdness of the fox and did as the fox said and helped him get out of the well.

While walking away, the fox said, “Had you been intelligent enough, you would never have got in without seeing how to get out.”

Once upon a time, there was a man who lived with his dear Goose. He lived his life by selling his Goose’s eggs. From the very start, his Goose was different from the other Geese. The number of eggs it laid was quite a lot. That way, the man could sell plenty eggs and get some money from it. Still, the man felt it wasn’t enough. It could only buy his Goose‘s everyday food and some for the man himself. He always yearned for getting a lot of money and better life.

One night, he decided to sleep early than usual. As it became his routine, he prayed to God to make him rich and have a better life. He complained that his life was so ordinary. He became so tired and wanted some things to change. The Goose, on the outside of the house, heard her owner’s prayer and felt so sad. The Goose just liked the way things were but her owner didn’t. She wanted her owner to feel happy like she did, for the owner always taking care of her first. So that night, the Goose also prayed to the God to repay her owner’s kindness and the God answered the Goose’s prayer because of its good intention.

“Your pure will has made me answer your prayer and wishes. There my little creature, I give you a gift, for all of your hard work and never get tired of what you did. Starts from this morning, all your eggs will be pure made of gold, as pure as your wishes. That way, you can help your owner to have a better life.”

“Thank you ‘o God!” squealed the Goose happily.

“But remember,” warned God. “You could only lay one egg per day. And you must be healthy as a dog in his good condition to be laid a gold egg. That’s all you need.”

“It’s alright my Lord, for my owner always taking care of me patiently, he sure wouldn’t mind of that condition.”

“We shall see, my dear creature.” That night the Goose slept soundly with a smile in its face.

The man woke up early and went to the nest of his Goose to check its condition. As he checked his Goose, he found an egg all yellow and glittering below the Goose. When he took it up it was as heavy as lead and he was going to throw it away, because he thought a trick had been played upon him. But he took it home on second thoughts, and soon found, to his delight, that it was an egg of pure gold. He was so happy that his prayer finally got answer from the God. Every morning the same thing occurred, and he soon became rich by selling his eggs. At first he thought it was so odd that his Goose could only lay a single egg per day, but he didn’t care as much as he saw a gold egg first time in his life. He could only dreamed, how much money he would get from those golden eggs.

As he grew rich, he grew greedy and he stopped caring his Goose in the same way as he did in the past. He was so busy spending all his money to buy all the things he ever wanted in his life. The Goose was so sad to see that her owner started to change into a bad person. One day, the Goose felt very sick as she rarely got a proper treatment as she had before. This made the Goose couldn’t lay any single egg anymore and her health became worst as day went by. She only hoped that her owner would find her as soon as possible, or she couldn’t give any eggs anymore for him.

Even so, the man was still busy with his money. He feared that one day he got robbed by someone. He decided to build a fine house with a good security. Unfortunately, all his money was spent out for this. He thought it was the time to visit his beloved Goose and got another gold egg. All the way, he could only smile to think there would be a pile of gold egg because it was already in long time he didn’t meet his Goose. But what he found was something that shattered his heart, he saw the Goose laid limp in her nest. He started to feel panic; his source of wealth was going to die. He hurriedly gave the Goose a treatment but it was too late. The Goose couldn’t be helped anymore. Before she died, she smiled happily; it was such bless to see her owner for the last time taking care for her like what he did in the past.

He felt so miserable to see his Goose died. In his mind, it was all chaotic. All suddenly happened and he couldn’t think straight. In desperation, he thought he could get at once all the gold the Goose could give if he ripped the Goose’s body. Hopelessly, he ripped the Goose’s body only to find nothing. Now he got nothing and lost his companion.
