The Amazement at the Top: Exploring the Beauty of Curug Cilember

The Amazement at the Top: Exploring the Beauty of Curug Cilember
By: Ajeng Ratna Sari

The bridge close to curug tujuh
The view of curug tujuh

The sun was bright when it guided my way to see the green of nature. As I walked closer, I smelt the beautiful fragrance of the natural treasure. The songs of the birds created the curiosity to find more inside. I followed the path wondering how the scene of nature would be. I got closer, and then I found a wonderful waterfall. My heart had desire to feel the freshness. The touch of the water seized my mind. I was lost in the purity of the water: It was so cold and clear. My journey did not finish there. There were the others waiting for my arrival to give their unforgettable moments.

That is the description that I have when I remember Curug Cilember, the beautiful waterfalls. Curug Cilember is located in Cilember village, Cisarua, West Java. It is not too far from Jakarta that is why I chose this place to spend my holiday with my family. It took 3 hours from Jakarta to Curug Cilember. At the gate it was written “Curug 7 Cilember” and I still wondered the views of the waterfalls and why the name is Curug 7 Cilember. The first impression I had was the track to the waterfalls was really green.

There were many kinds of tree surrounding the track to the waterfalls. I could smell the natural fragrance of the leaves. It was really refreshing. Besides the green trees, I also felt amused of the weather of the place because it was cool. Finally I could escape from the hot weather of Jakarta that is what I thought in my mind. Curug Cilember has 7 levels of waterfall, starting from the lowest one, curug tujuh, and ended at the highest one, curug satu. I am actually an acrophobia, but my curiosity to see the waterfalls was bigger than my fear that is why I chose to keep hiking the track to see curug satu.

After a few minutes hiking, I found there were many people soaking their feet in the water of a pond. I wondered about what they were doing; then there was a man pointing out to the pond and offered me a fish spa for only 5000 rupiah. It was cool to know that there is also a fish spa around the track to the waterfalls. After that, I kept hiking the track, hearing the sounds of birds. It was peaceful. It is so different with the atmosphere of Jakarta which only has the sound of factories’ machines and vehicles. Not far from the fish spa, I saw a place whose shape like a dome. I was curious about the place then I came closer to the place and found that it was a place of butterfly conservation. That building can be entered by paying the entrance ticket for 6000 rupiah. It is not expensive compared to the experience you can get. You can take selfie with many kinds of butterfly. It is really fun.

Unfortunately, I could not stay in the butterfly conservation building for long time because there were many things up there waited for me. I hiked the track to reach the seventh waterfall; the track was quite hard to pass. It took much of my energy. The sound of the waterfall was already heard from about 50 meters. I felt so enthusiastic. I fastened my step. Finally I reached the seventh waterfall. It was really beautiful. There were two streams of water falling from the top. I then directly put off my shoes and came into the pool under the waterfall. The water was cold and clear. I stepped carefully because sometimes there were rocks that might make me fall. I played in the water for a while. I touched the freshness of the water. Suddenly, there was a thing came to my mind. This nature is so amazing. This depicts the power of God: He created a wonderful natural view. I sat on a rock for a while, enjoying the view around. I saw many trees and I heard the sound of the waterfall. That all made me felt relaxed. Suddenly, I heard a weird voice. It was not the voice of birds. I looked around and found that it was the voice of monkeys. There were monkeys climbed from tree to tree. The appearance of the monkeys added more the beauty of the place.

My journey had not ended yet. I still continued it to the first waterfall. The higher the waterfall the more scared I was. The track to the first waterfall was so scary and steep. I tried not to look down. I was so curious to know the view at the top. All the sceneries from sixth to the first waterfall were wonderful. It was full of trees, full of monkeys, and don’t be surprised if you can also find pigs there because I found a pig passing in front of me during this journey.

Finally I reached the first waterfall. It was so beautiful and higher than the seventh waterfall. The water dropped in fast speed. The voice was heard so clear. I enjoyed the landscape for some time. I saw the blue sky became the background of the dancing birds. Besides the birds, the trees were also dancing in breeze. After some time I touched the water of the waterfall by my hands. I took the water and poured over my face. I felt the softness of every drop of the water. The freshness asked me to dip my whole body in but it was already late, then I tracked down. Tracking down was easier than hiking, so you don’t need to worry to be tired and the views around you also will remove your tiresome.

It is not about how brave you are to reach the highest waterfall but it is about how curious you are to see the astonishment of Curug Cilember.

The Gold in Old: Being a Hero with Unbeatable Spirit By Ajeng Ratna Sari

The Gold in Old: Being a Hero with Unbeatable Spirit
By Ajeng Ratna Sari

Jojo Juanda, a 68 years old gado-gado seller who has high spirit to dedicate his life for society, being the member of FATWA (an organization to avoid fights in society) is his real contribution to ensure the safe environment.

Do you ever see fights in your society? What will you do when you see the fights? Will you have willingness to help separating the people involved in the fights?

It was in the afternoon when Jojo Juanda, a 68 years old gado-gado seller saw something horrible, something that really disturbed his sight. He saw a group of senior high school students ran and passed him. Of course, those students were running not because they were doing exercise because it was in the afternoon. They were in hurry. They brought knives and wood sticks. Jojo thought that there must be something wrong. Those students might fight. Not long after that, he saw other group of students, but this time, they were from vocational school. Jojo could differentiate their uniforms which were different from the senior high school students’. Jojo was sure that those two groups of students would fight. He then directly ran and pushed his cart in high speed, getting closer to those two groups of students. He saw those groups fought. They mocked each other at first, but then they started to use their sticks to beat each other. Jojo Juanda directly called the other members of FATWA (an organization to avoid fights in society) and asked them to separate those two groups of students. He was so brave to separate the fighting groups. He did not really care his own safety. For him, the most important thing was to make the situation calm and safe again.

“When there are fights in our society, we should care, we should separate, because it becomes our responsibility when there is something wrong happens in our society” said JojoJuanda with smile.

Jojo Juanda is not young anymore and he is also just a gado-gado seller, but for him his life would be good when he can share with others. In his young age, he liked to help his parents because there were many siblings he should care. He felt that he had responsibility to help his parents to earn money for buying foods and other needs. He did not feel that his parents used him because the will to work came from himself. Day by day he worked hard just to make his siblings smile. He could not get much money but with that little money he could sometimes brought foods and toys for his siblings. He said it was for his siblings’ amusement.

“’I’ve been working hard since I was in young age. I did not get good education. I preferred to help my parents because I wanted to decrease their difficulties. I didn’t get much money by selling gado-gado but I could give my children proper education although only until senior high school” said Jojo Juanda.

Now in his 68 years of age, Jojo Juanda still works as a gado-gado seller, a profession that he’s been doing for 41 years. He said that he works as a gado-gado seller now for himself. He can socialize with others. He can talk with others. It makes him happy. He can know various kinds of people. He can talk with students, employees and other street vendors who buy his gado-gado. That is something which he calls as “happiness”.

“I’m happy I can talk with many people. Sometimes, I meet people who are not luckier than me and I feel thankful for what Allah gives me”

Jojo Juanda is always happy when he can do good things for others, and for that reason he is still the member of FATWA although he is not young anymore. He wantsto give his contribution to create the safe society. His biggest contribution in FATWA can be seen in his struggle when he separated the two fighting groups of people in 2010. One group consists of gangsters and one another consist of the bus drivers. That time the gangsters asked money from a bus driver but the bus driver ignored to give. Then, the gangsters were angry because they got bad response from the bus driver. They forced the bus driver to give them money but the bus driver still ignored. Their fights were heard so loud. Finally, the gangsters showed a knife to the bus driver and said “give me your money now or we will kill you”. The incident was caught by the other drivers. Seeing their friend was in trouble, the other bus drivers came to help. The other bus drivers asked the gangsters to leave the place, but they ignored. As the consequence, the bus drivers and the gangsters were involved into a horrible fight. They even punched each other. Seeing that sight made Jojo think that he must do something to solve the fight. With a high spirit, Jojo Juanda directly reported the incident he saw to the nearest police office. Jojo and a police came to the place where the gangsters and the bus drivers fought and separated those two sides. The condition then became normal again after the separation.

Jojo Juanda, one of many examples in this world who really know the real meaning of life. He realizes that he lives in this world not only for himself but also for others. The happiness he gets not only about money but it is about how he makes his life meaningful by doing good for others.

“That is life, we live here not only for ourselves, we also live for others, and we share for others. I am not rich I cannot share my wealth, but I can do good things to others by keeping my society safe. I’m old but I still have spirit to help, when I see fights in society I feel it becomes my responsibility to separate. Always be thankful for what god gives by doing good things for ourselves and for others”

[Mid-term] Ajeng Ratna Sari - Love without Reason (Short Story)

Love without Reason
.
Aisyah was a beautiful charming girl, rather than showing her sadness, she preferred to be cheerful in front of her friends. She always started her days with smile of spirit that her days would be good. Besides having pretty face, she also had a beautiful heart which made all people amazed. Aisyah was not born in rich family, but her family always taught her to be a person with rich heart. All her friends adored her for the good behavior she had. Aisyah’s father was only an employee in a bank, and her mother was just a house wife. She had one little brother named Akbar. Akbar was 6 years old. One thing that always came into Aisyah’s mind: she always wanted to make her family happy.

One evening after Aisyah finished her college, her brother asked her not to forget to give him a birthday gift.

“The day after tomorrow is my birthday, I want a nice car toy, will you give me sister?” asked Akbar.

“Ohh you are so cute… ya sure I will give you a car toy in your birthday” answered Aisyah.

“Really?” asked Akbar.

“Yes my cute little bear” answered Aisyah, giving a sweet kiss to Akbar.

Akbar then came into his room while Aisyah was just looking at Akbar. Aisyah aksed herself how to give her little brother a gift. She got no money at all. She then saved her pocket money for two days and asked one of her friends to lend her money to pay for the rest of the new car toy.  Finally came the day of Akbar’s birthday, Akbar was so happy; he really expected the gift from his sister. Suddenly, Akbar heard a voice of his sister. He fell into a deep happiness. Aisyah came to Akbar and gave him the car toy she had promised before. Akbar was full of cute smile and happiness. It was like something amazing for Aisyah when she could see happiness from her beloved little brother.

The next day was the time for Aisyah to pay for her college. She asked her father but her father did not have enough money to pay. Her father seemed disappointed with the condition that he could not pay his daughter’s college. Aisyah was really a nice daughter; she did not want to make her father worry. She then said that it would be okay if the payment would be payed late. She convinced her father that there was nothing to worry about. It had been two weeks after her campus gave her a reminder letter for the college. Aisyah was so confused to pay for her college. She thought hard to find ways to pay. One day she browsed a job on internet. She got one with high salary: it was written that “We need a keeper for our son, male or female with good personality and attitude, should be fluent in English, we need the keeper to stay with our son on Friday, Saturday and Sunday”. Aisyah then felt so happy after finding that job. She thought that it was the right job for her, and she also had no college schedule in weekend. She tried to send the e-mail to the family, the e-mail was khanfamily@gmail.com. She thought that the e-mail seemed like Indian name but actually she did not really care the name, she just wanted to pay her college and she did not want to make her father in difficulty. She sent a letter of the requirements of the job to the e-mail. One day later, she checked her e-mail and found that her e-mail had been replied. It stated that “Thank you for the complete requirements you sent, we appreciate and expect you to start working on this weekend”. Getting such reply made Aisyah felt so happy. She thought that at least she could pay the half of the payment from her father and the rest she would pay from her salary.

On Friday morning, Aisyah arrived in Khan Family’s house. The first time she saw the house, Bollywood came to her mind. She asked herself was it the house of Shah Rukh khan or Salman khan because the house was full of Indian decorations. Khan family was from India, they moved to Indonesia since 6 months before. Farooq Khan was the head of the family. Farooq then welcomed Aisyah cordially.

“So you are Aisyah?” asked Farooq.

“Oh yes sir. I am Aisyah. I am the one who sent the e-mail to you. I am interested in the job you offered and I hope that I could work well here” answered Aisyah with smile.

“You seem a nice girl. How old are you?” asked Farooq

“I’m just 19 years old sir” answered Aisyah

“19 years old… only 2 years younger than him” replied Farooq

“Pardon me sir?” said Aisyah

“Nothing, you may start working today. By the way do your parents know about your job here?” asked Farooq.

“ Yes sir, I already told them” replied Aisyah.

“That is good then. Well, your job here is to take care of our son, his name is Raj Khan. He is just 21 years old. He was a cheerful and energetic boy before that accident erased all his dreams” said Farooq

“What happened to him?” asked Aisyah.

“Two years ago when we lived in India, Raj was going to his campus by his car. He liked to drive in high speed, I always warned him but he never listened me until one day he got accident and it made him paralyzed” explained Farooq.

“Oh I’m sorry to hear that sir” said Aisyah.

“Well, you don’t need to. Do your job well because I will be out of Jakarta during the weekends with my wife, there are a lot of things to do. Imran, Raj’s older brother takes care of him in week days but in weekend there’ll be no one at home. I often ask Raj to go with me but he always denies. He says he wants to stay at home. The list of the things you need to do are written in this paper” said Farooq.

“Oh yes sir I will do all well” replied Aisyah.

“Well I need to go now, take care of our son. We trust you” Farooq said with smile.

Aisyah saw someone was sitting on a wheel chair. He had really black hair, thick eye lashes and eyebrows, his lips were pink as pink as cherry. Aisyah asked herself was it Raj Khan. She then came closer to the man. Aisyah introduced herself to the man. She explained that she would take care of him. The man gave no answer. He just folded his lips. He seemed so disturbed with the appearance of Aisyah. Aisyah had not gotten the answer whether the man was Raj Khan until the telephone in his house rang and the man said his name. Yes… it was really Raj, but he seemed so unfriendly. Aisyah looked at the list to do in the paper. First thing she saw she should give Raj a breakfast with the foods prepared in the refrigerator. Aisyah opened the refrigerator and found breads and chocolate jam. She prepared the bread and gave to Raj. Raj really did not like with Aisyah’s appearance that is why he was just silent and no conversation happened. Aisyah just gave the bread to Raj and left him alone. Finally it was the afternoon; time to give Raj vitamin and Aisyah prepared all.

“Excuse me Raj, this is your vitamin and here’s the water” Aisyah said to Raj and gave the vitamin.

“Okay. I actually do not need a keeper. I don’t like strangers to be in my house” replied Raj with unfriendly look.

“But your parents wrote on the internet they need a keeper for you” answered Aisyah.

“I am not a baby!” answered Raj with high tone.

“I’m sorry” replied Aisyah in low and soft voice.

Aisyah then did her college assignment while she had a break time of taking care Raj. She always used the chance well. She did all her assignments in her break time. Although she did not get a good response from Raj, she kept trying to be a good keeper. Day by day passed, but Raj’s behavior to Aisyah never changed. Aisyah was still patient because she really needed the job and she needed the money to pay for her college. The reason of her to be patient was she did not want to make her father in difficulty. It was the time for Aisyah to give Raj vitamin, as usual Raj did not give a good response.

“Raj here is your vitamin. I will help you to drink” said Aisyah to Raj and gave the vitamin.

“I told you. I don’t need a keeper. You don’t need to care me like this I don’t like it” Raj shouted.

“I’m sorry Raj, I just do my job. I’m sorry if I hurt you” answered Aisyah in low voice.

“No one can understand me even my parents. I don’t need such things you know. I need my legs back. I want to walk” said Raj with cry.

“Don’t say like that Raj, you parents love you. They asked for a keeper because they love you. All things happen with reasons, god gives you this situation because he loves you, he wants you to be near with him. Don’t think negatively” convinced Aisyah.

“I want my legs back” replied Raj

“You will get your legs back, be sure Allah will make your legs can walk again” said Aisyah, trying to support Raj.

“I don’t want this” Raj shouted and punched his legs.

“Hey Raj look, don’t punch your legs like that. Stop” said Aisyah.

“Why are you so nice to me?” asked Raj.

“I’m just trying to make others happy not sad. By the way Raj, it’s time for you to eat your lunch. I will prepare the food, wait a minute” replied Aisyah.

Raj was just silent

Aisyah prepared lunch for Raj: she cooked biryani for Raj. It was Raj’s favorite food. Not only that day, but every day Aisyah always tried to make Raj happy. Every refusal Raj gave to Aisyah was always replied by a thousand kindness. Aisyah was never angry with Raj’s behavior. She always thought that Raj just needed someone to care him. It had been a month Aisyah worked in Raj’s house. Aisyah then got her first salary. She felt so happy and directly paid for her college. She thought that if there is a strong will there will be a way for problems because god is not blind. Working in Khan Family’s house as a keeper not only made Aisyah realized that her life was precious but it also made her realized that she loved Raj for everything he had. She suddenly felt a deep feeling for Raj. She even did not care that Raj was paralyzed. She just understood that she had love for Raj. She felt worry in weekdays when she did not meet Raj. She felt anxious when it had not been her time to meet Raj. Raj was so close person. It seemed he built a high wall with the outside world after the accident. Aisyah was even not sure that her love for Raj would be replied. She just believed that she wanted to give the best for her beloved one.

Three months passed, the conversations and interactions Aisyah and Raj made when they met caused Raj to have a strange feeling that he never felt before. Raj felt no one could understand him better than Aisyah did. Raj really could not avoid from the strong heartbeat when he saw Aisyah, he could not avoid from missing Aisyah’s voice, Raj even always imagined Aisyah in his days. He thought it would be useless to love someone who was so perfect, beautiful, smart, polite and patient. He really thought that miracle would not happen for that. He tried to avoid his feeling for Aisyah, but the more he tried the more he remembered Aisyah, until in one morning Raj was so sure to say his love to Aisyah.

“Aisyah..there is something I want to say to you” said Raj in confusion.

“What is that? did I make a mistake?” replied Aisyah.

“Yes… you did so big mistake” answered Raj.

“What is that? I did not realize” asked Aisyah.

“Your mistake is making me always think about you, I often miss your appearance to be near me” said Raj.

“Pardon me?” asked Aisyah.

“I love you. I love you with all my heart but this thing I must realize that I don’t want to ruin your life. You are perfect. You can find another guy who is also perfect not like me I’m paralyzed” said Raj

“I------I love you Raj and don’t ask me to find another guy. It’s killing me. There is no other guy I can love except you” replied Aisyah.

After 3 years they decided to marry. Aisyah gave so much love to Raj and accepted him with his condition, and Raj also loved Aisyah perfectly. He felt that Aisyah was the miracle for his life after all the bad dreams he had.

[Mid-term] Ajeng Ratna Sari - My Precious Life (Poem)

My Precious Life
By: Ajeng Ratna Sari

My life and yours maybe different
I get my happiness in my simplicity
You may get your happiness in your shiny gold
But there's something hidden in both

Life is not a shallow pool
It is a deep ocean
My ocean may not as blue as yours
But the waves run deep and wide

I'm not a queen whose magnificent palace
I'm not the ruler of the world
But I'm sure of one thing
He has a reason for all...

Drama: The Necklace

By: Ajeng Ratna Sari

Making a Play from Short Story “The Necklace”

Madame Loisel was born beautiful, rather than using her beauty to marry a wealthy man, she preferred to marry her husband who was just a little clerk. She lived with her husband in poverty. There was nothing she could expect from her husband, she even did not have good dress or jewelry. She never felt happy with her marriage although her husband always tried to make her happy.

In a sunday afternoon, after lunch, Madame Loisel’s husband wanted to give her a surprise.

Monsieur Loisel: Darling, I have a surprise for you. I got an invitation to a party on Monday evening, January 18. It would be nice if you could attend that party since you never go out to a party.

Madame Loisel: what do you want me to do with that?

Monsieur Loisel: what happen darling? I thought it would be good for you. It’s hard to get an invitation  to that party and i was trying to get for you.

Madame Loisel: Just think I don’t have proper dress to attend that party, I’ve got no beautiful dress. You want to make me feel that I’m the ugliest lady in the party?

Monsieur Loisel: Well.. darling you have a nice dress which you wore to an opera. I think that is nice dress and proper for you to attend this party.

Madame Loisel: just give that invitation to one of your friends.

Monsieur Loisel: I want you to attend the party darling, how much money do you need for a proper dress?

Madame Loisel was thinking the appropriate price for a dress so that her husband would not ignore to give.

Madame Loisel: I need 50 dollars for a proper dress.

Monsieur Loisel: Alright I will give you 50 dollars , but find a good dress which you can wear to other occasions.

Madame Loisel then bought the dress, but She was still sad.

Madame Loisel: I think I will not attend the party darling, I have no any jewelry, people there will think that I’m poor, maybe I’d better stay at home.

Monsieur Loisel:  What’s wrong with you? Just buy flowers to make you more beautiful, it costs much less than a jewelry.

Madame Loisel: what? Flowers? People there will absolutely think that I should not be in the party.

Monsieur Loisel:  You have a friend named madame Forestier , she is rich, just borrow a jewelry from her.

Madame Losiel: yess.. that is amazing idea, I will borrow from her.

Madame Loisel went to Madame Forestier’s house and asked whether she could borrow one of her jewelries.

Madame Loisel: I come here to ask a favor from you, would you mind to help me?

Madame Forestier: What can I do for you?

Madame Loisel: I’m invited to attend to a party but I have no jewelry, may I borrow on one of your jewelries?

Madame Forestier: Yes..sure, just wait I’ll bring some so you ca choose what you like.

Madame Loisel: I want to borrow this diamond necklace, it’s really beautiful, may I borrow this?

Madame Forestier: yes, sure (giving thediamond neckale to Madame Loisel).

Madame Loisel: thank you, I will return it back directly after the party.

Madame Forestier: Don’t worry Mathilde.

Madame Loisel then went home.

Finally, came the day of the party, Madame Loisel was full of happiness. Wearing her new dress and a diamond nacklace, she was successful to steal everyone’s eyes in the party. She was the prettiest of all other women. All men in the party were keen to ask her name and waltz with her.

A young man: (coming closer to Madame Loisel). It’s the first time in my life to see a very gorgeous creature. May I know your name lady?

Madame Loisel:  You are just too much sir, well...my name is Mathilde.

A young man: That is really a sweet name. Would you mind if we dance?

Madame Loisel: (with charming smile). Thank you, no, it’s a pleasure.

A young man: (Holding Mathilde’s hands and started to dance). Do you know? You have such a charming smile and the diamond necklace really suits you.

Madame Loisel: I feel really happy and confident with this diamond necklace.

As the music changed Madame Loisel asked permission from the young man to end the dance. She then took a glass of wine, started to talk to an old lady next to her.

The old lady: You’ve got a perfect dress and that diamond necklace really looks beautiful. Where did you buy that necklace? I never saw one like that before.

Madame Loisel: Thank you... (answering with smile and hesitation of the words she should say as the necklace was not really hers).

The old lady: Do you live around here?

Madame Loisel: No, I live far from here. I attend this party because of my husband’s request.

The old lady: I think your husband is really nice. It’s even hard to get an invitation to attend this party. Well..enjoy the party, nice talking to you.

Madame Loisel: Nice talking to you too (answered Madame loisel with a lot of happiness that she could not hide from her face).

In far distance there was an old man watching Madame Loisel. He secretly admired her beauty and asked a waitress to give her a letter saying “Hi, beautiful rose”. Madame Loisel then received the letter and opened it. She could not hide her pride and happiness of receiving those admiring words in the letter.

The old man: I’m the one who sent that to you. I adore your magnificent charm. You look really pretty lady.

Madame Loisel: Those words are sweet and I appreciate your praise.

The old man: Do you mind if we dance together?

Madame loisel: (fellt full of pride). No, it’s fine, I mean that would be nice.

The old man: I’m fascinated knowing that you are not only beautiful but you are also good in dancing.

Madame Loisel: well..it’s nothing sir, many ladies can dance, nothing special.

The old man: But you are special.

Madame Loisel danced madly without thinking anything else. She was drunk with pleasure and pride. Madame Loisel went home from the party at 4 in the morning, yes it was so late for a party but outside her husband had been waiting for her to ensure that his wife would come home safely.

Monsieur Loisel put garments on Madame Loisel’s shoulders.

Monsieur Loisel: wait darling, I’ll get a cab for us so you won’t get cold.

Madame Loisel did not care what her husband said to her.

Madame Loisel: Hurry up ! I don’t want anyone seeing me with these garments.

They both tried to get a cab but they hardly got it, after some time they got a cab and entered it.
Arrived at home.

Madame Loisel: (looking herself in the mirror), where is the necklace? Oh god ! I lost the necklace.

Monsieur Loisel: what happens sweetheart? (rushing to his wife).

Madame  Loisel: I lost the necklace, what should I do ?

Monsieur Loisel: where did you put it last time ?

Madame Loisel: I wore it I remember it well.

Monsieur Loisel: If the necklace fell down, it surely would make a sound. I will check along the way (getting out from the house in panic).

Monsieur Loisel did not find the neckale and came into the house again.

Monsieur Loisel: I didn’t find the neckale darling.

Madame Loisel : That necklace is Madame Forestier’s, what should I do? (crying).

Monsieur Loisel: You should write letter to her that you will return the neckale late. Tomorrow we will check the price of the similar necklace.

The next day they came to a jewelry shop.

Madame Loisel: The necklace has diamond on it (giving the sketch of the neckale to the shop keeper), how much does it cost?

The shop keeper: It cost 5000 dollars.

Madame loisel: What? 5000 dollars? It’s so expensive, where I get that much money?

Monsieur Loisel: I think we should work hard to save the money to buy for it. You cannot come to  Madame Forestier until you get the necklace back.

Madame Loisel: yes darling you are right Madame Forestier will think that I stole her neckale if I cannot turn it back.

Day by day Monsieur and Madame Loisel worked hard to pay for the necklace. Finally, after 10 years of working hard they could buy the similar necklace. Madame Loisel decided to meet Forestier and return the necklace.

Madame Loisel: Do you remember that you did a favor for me 10 years ago?

Madame Forestier: what kind of favor?

Madame Loisel: You lent me your diamond necklace.

Madame Forestier: Oh yes, the diamond necklace, It’s been long time ago.

Madame Loisel: yes, I’m really sorry for breaking my promise that I would return it directly after the party.

Madame Forestier: Why you never returned it?

Madame Loisel: sorry, actually I lost your necklace. That time I was so confused to explain to you, I was afraid that you would think I stole your necklace. Now I have the necklace, I spent 10 years to get this necklace, I want to return it to you.

Madame Forestier: (holding Madame Loisel’s hands) Look Mathilde you don’t need to return the necklace because my neckale was imitation, you should have told me that time that you lost it, If you told me at least I could understand.

Madame Loisel then fell into a deep regret for what happened to her.
